There is a diamond in my rose

I watered it and it started to grow

It shoots towards the sky

Showing off its glittering light

Turning heads of strangers passing by

Who knew there could be a diamond in a rose?

This surprises me too

Because this was so rare

It has caused so many to stare

A diamond! A diamond!

A diamond in a rose!

It was simply amazing

This must have been what many spoke about

True beauty but not beauty itself

Possesses amazing abilities to go with it as well

Don’t be fooled this diamond was in the soil

Before it was shaped to perfection to make it worthwhile

It was then placed upon my rose

Where it added its luster to make my rose exposed.

How can I reach it?

I have been through the fire

I walked through the rain

I went through the tunnel

I have been on a train

At the end of the tunnel I saw a light

I looked to the sky the stars shining bright

The sparks from the sky lit up my eyes

I jumped in the air I hold on a branch

I climbed up the tree I started to dance

I reached for the stars it was way too far

I jumped on a plane and soar to the sky

Thought to myself I like this place

The smile on my face I had to erase

The stars up above was way in space.

How can I reach it I am already in the skies?

Is there a secret portal that can take me otherwise?

Maybe I am not trying hard enough

The ride is not a bumpy road so why is it so rough

I called on many experts they seem to be doing fine

I am still right here waiting in line

How can I reach it I am already in the skies?

How can I reach it the day is turning into night? 

Perhaps on a spacecraft someday or secret portal

I know I will reach the stars someday

I’ll eventually get it right. 

That unforgettable day

On that unforgettable day our eyes made four

That sparks I felt was like nothing I’ve ever felt before

You take my hands and let me know that I am yours

In that passionate moment with your lips against mine

I knew that we would be procreating at any time.

You told me all the wonderful things I wanted to hear

The word coming from your mouth was like diamonds

Forming a crown on my head

Making me queen

With butterflies flying around my bed

I loved that my mind was at peace

When you went down on one knee

And when I said yes you swept me off my feet

There is no other magical moment that I would

Rather remember

Than that unforgettable day

That will forever remain on my calendar.

The awesome stranger

The awesome stranger looked at me

So afraid to hold him

Because of fear of the unknown

He called out to me with his luring eyes

Begging me to take my share of gold

The unknown kept holding me back

Telling me to stay put never to move

Packing on its many bricks on my back

Adding its epitome of negativity as an extra load to carry

I forced my way up but failed miserable to stand up

With eyes wide open I saw the awesome stranger stretching out his hands

Even his reassurance to help falls on deaf ears

Even with his irresistible perspective

I was forced to look away

Even though my heart yearned to hold him

The unknown held me tight telling me he will never let go.
